Dennis fortin

Dennis Fortin was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, but spent much of his childhood in Africa and Asia due to his father’s government work. The family returned to the United States for Dennis to attend high school, settling in Vienna, Virginia.

Dennis earned his Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from the University of Iowa and later received his Juris Doctor (JD) from Potomac School of Law in Washington, D.C., where he met Joseph Conoscienti.

In 1980, Dennis moved to Georgia and began practicing criminal defense, primarily in the City of Atlanta, including a brief tenure as an assistant solicitor, pro hac vice, for the City of Atlanta. In 1998, Dennis and his wife established their own practice, focusing on criminal defense, as well as landlord/tenant matters, IT contract negotiations, and general contract disputes.

In 2018, Dennis joined the Gwinnett County Solicitor General’s Office as a prosecutor, serving for nearly four years before returning to private practice to resume criminal defense work and take on an “of counsel” role with Conoscienti & Ledbetter, LLC.

Outside of law, Dennis enjoys reading, gardening, and cooking.
