Thais fortin

Thais Fortin was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and moved to Atlanta in 1979. She began her professional career as a traffic manager for a container distributor before transitioning into the legal field as a legal secretary and paralegal for a civil litigation partner.

Thais earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Oglethorpe University, majoring in History with a minor in Psychology. She went on to pursue her Juris Doctor (JD) at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. In 1998, she and her husband established their law practice in DeKalb County, focusing primarily on criminal defense, as well as landlord/tenant matters, IT contract negotiations, and general contract disputes.

In 2018, Thais joined the Gwinnett County Solicitor General’s Office as a prosecutor, serving for nearly three and a half years before returning to private practice as an Associate at Conoscienti & Ledbetter, LLC. Her practice now centers on Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, and Tort Law.

Outside of her legal career, Thais enjoys reading, walking, and spending time with her husband and their cat, Madison.
